The CW Cancels 'Life Sentence' and 'Valor'

The CW has today decided to cancel two of its original series after one season - Life Sentence and Valor. The news about Life Sentence was first announced by series star Lucy Hale in a message posted to Twitter.

In addition to Hale, Life Sentence also starred Elliot Knight, Jayson Blair, Brooke Lyons, Carlos PenaVega, Gillian Vigman and Dylan Walsh.

Erin Cardillo and Richard Keith created the dramedy. They executive produced with Bill Lawrence, Jeff Ingold, Oliver Goldstick and Lee Toland Krieger. Warner Bros. Television, CBS Television Studios, Doozer and In Good Company produced.

The first season finale will now serve as the series finale when it airs on Friday, June 15 at 9/8c.

Valor starred Matt Barr, Christina Ochoa, Charlie Barnett, W. Tre Davis, Corbin Reid, Nigel Thatch and Melissa Roxburgh.

Kyle Jarrow created the drama. He executive produced with Anna Fricke, Bill Haber and Michael M. Robin. CBS Television Studios, Warner Bros. Television and Ostar Productions produced.

The drama always seemed unlikely to return after it failed to earn a back-nine pickup for its first season. Moreover, three members of the cast - Barr, Ochoa and Roxburgh - booked lead roles on drama pilots.
