Apple Gives Series Order to Anthology 'Little America' from Kumail Nanjiani and Emily Gordon

Four months after first putting the project in development, Apple has given a series order to the original anthology series Little America created by Academy Award-nominated writers Kumail Nanjiani and Emily Gordon (The Big Sick). The first season will feature eight half-hour episodes.

Based on the true stories included in the Epic Magazine feature of the same name, the series will go beyond the headlines to look at the funny, romantic, heartfelt, inspiring and surprising stories of immigrants in America at a time when they are more relevant than ever.

Nanjiani and Gordon will executive produce with showrunner Lee Eisenberg, Alan Yang, Joshuah Bearman and Joshua Davis. Arthur Spector is a co-executive producer. Universal Television will produce.
