Amazon's The Boys; CBS All Access' Tell Me a Story; FOX's Empire; Netflix's One Day at a Time; and Netflix's Unbelievable.





NETFLIX's ONE DAY AT A TIME
  • Gloria Estefan will appear in an upcoming episode of the comedy's third season. The singer has won three Grammy Awards and also is the voice behind the comedy's theme song.
  • She will play Mirtha, Lydia's (Rita Moreno) baby sister and arch-nemesis.
NETFLIX's UNBELIEVABLE
  • Toni Collette, Merritt Wever and Kaitlyn Dever will star in the upcoming limited series created by Susannah Grant, Michael Chabon and Ayelet Waldman. Furthermore, Lisa Cholodenko has signed on to direct the first three episodes. Collette and Wever have both won Emmy Awards for their performances in Showtime's United States of Tara and Nurse Jackie, respectively. Dever starred for six seasons in ABC's Last Man Standing.
  • Collette and Wever will play detectives whose lives become intertwined in their mutual pursuit of a possible serial rapist.
  • No details were immediately released about the character Dever will be playing.
FOX's EMPIRE
  • Nicole Ari Parker has been promoted to series regular for the drama's upcoming fifth season. She appeared in five episodes of the fourth season as a recurring guest star. She previously starred for four seasons in Showtime's Soul Food as well as the first season of TNT's Murder in the First.
  • She plays Giselle Barker, Eddie Barker's (Forest Whitaker) beautiful trophy ex-wife. In the new season she is stepping out of the shadow of her ex in an effort to seize power herself. Along the way she'll tackle grudges, make unexpected alliances and find a surprising love interest.
AMAZON's THE BOYS
  • Tomer Kapon has been cast on the upcoming drama starring Karl Urban and Elisabeth Shue. His film credits include starring roles in One Week and a Day and A Tale of Love and Darkness.
  • He will play Frenchie, the unpredictable wild card of The Boys. A brutal warrior when the situation calls for it, living a life of no attachments or responsibilities.
CBS ALL ACCESS' TELL ME A STORY
  • Sam Jaeger will play a lead role on the upcoming drama starring Kim Catrall, Paul Wesley and James Wolk. He previously starred for six seasons in NBC's Parenthood. His recent credits include guest roles on NBC's Law & Order: True Crime - The Menendez Murders and Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale.
  • He will play Tim, a recently widowed single father who is still reeling from the death of his wife. Hoping for a change of pace and a new start, he just moved to New York with his troubled daughter (Danielle Campbell) to live with his mother (Cattrall). Desperate to cope with the grief, Tim throws himself into work while grappling with a broken-hearted daughter who seems to grow further and further away from him each day.
