Casting News - June 4, 2018

Hulu's Light as a Feather; Netflix's V-Wars; and Starz's American Gods.

  • Adrian Holmes and Jacky Lai have joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring Ian Somerhalder. Holmes has had recurring roles on Syfy's Continuum and The CW's Arrow. Lai previously recurred on Freeform's Beyond.
  • Holmes will play Michael Fayne, the lynchpin in a horrifying virus with brutal consequences. His charisma, quick thinking and strategic sense lead him to assume a critical role as a leader of the growing "vampire" faction in a struggle that threatens to tear society apart.
  • Lai will play Kaylee Vo, a struggling young online journalist - a would-be Assange who will do or say almost anything to advance her career. A fierce, funny, hustling fringe player, she breaks the biggest story imaginable and soon finds herself a key part of that story with a growing list of deadly enemies.
  • Dean Winters, Devery Jacobs and Kahyun Kim have been cast in recurring roles on the drama's upcoming second season. Winters has had recurring roles on NBC's Law & Order: SVU and HBO's Divorce. Jacobs has recurred on the Canadian dramas Cardinal and This Order. Kim previously recurred on Audience Network's Cassandra French's Finishing School.
  • Winters will play Mr. Town, who is tasked by Mr. World (Crispin Glover) to find out what Shadow (Ricky Whittle) knows about Mr. Wednesday's (Ian McShane) plan. His brutal efficiency and technique just may get him the answers to his curious questions.
  • Jacobs will play Sam Black Crow, a college student who is spiritually cynical for someone who claims to believe in so much. She lives life with fierce confidence and openness, selling the chainsaw art she carves by the roadside for extra money.
  • Kim will play New Media, the goddess of global content - and in this age, a cyberspace chameleon who is also a master of manipulation. The role was played by Gillian Anderson in the first season.
  • Production has begun today in Los Angeles on the upcoming 10-episode horror series. The cast will include Liana Liberato (To the Bone) as McKenna, Haley Ramm (Seven in Heaven) as Violet, Ajiona Alexus (13 Reasons Why) as Candace, Brianne Tju (Scream) as Alex, Peyton List (Bunk'd) as Olivia, Dylan Sprayberry (Teen Wolf) as Henry, Jordan Rodrigues (Lady Bird) as Trey, Brent Rivera (Alexander IRL) as Isaac, and Dorian Brown Pham (Wilfred) as Deb.
