During its first-ever presentation at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour, Facebook Watch renewed its original drama series Skam: Austin for a second season.
The drama stars Julie Rocha, Till Simon, Kennedy Hermansen, Austin Terry, Shelby Surdam, La'Keisha Slade, Valeria Vera, Aaliyah Muhammad, Pedro Castenada, Giovanni Niubo and Sophia Hopkins.
Julie Andem and Sarah Heyward developed the drama based on the Norwegian digital series of the same name. They executive produce with Simon Fuller and Per Blankens. XIX Entertainment produces.
"Skam is a shining example of what social video can be when there is a seamless integration of technology and content on Facebook," said Ricky Van Veen, Head of Global Creative Strategy, Facebook. "We're thrilled to bring back this special show and continue to break new ground with Skam's incomparable format."
