Casting News - Alfre Woodard Joins Apple's 'See'; Felicity Huffman Boards Netflix's 'Central Park Five'; Plus 4 More Updates!

Apple's See; CBS' Blood & Treasure & Magnum P.I.; HBO's The Deuce; National Geographic's The Hot Zone; and Netflix's Central Park Five.





CBS' BLOOD & TREASURE
  • Alicia Coppola will co-star on the upcoming drama starring Matt Barr and Sofia Pernas. She starred for two seasons in CBS' Jericho and has been recurring on Showtime's Shameless.
  • She will play Dr. Ana Castilla, a world-renowned adventurer and archeologist.
HBO's THE DEUCE
  • Luke Kirby and Jamie Neumann have been cast as new series regulars on the drama's upcoming second season. Kirby starred for four seasons in SundanceTV's Rectify. Neumann appeared in Hulu's limited series The Looming Tower.
  • Kirby will play Gene Goldman, an incoming Koch administration official bent on reform.
  • Neumann will play Ashley, a former sex worker turned activist.
APPLE's SEE
  • Alfre Woodard has joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring Jason Momoa. She has won Emmy Awards for her performances in NBC's Hill Street Blues, NBC's L.A. Law, HBO's Miss Evers' Boys and ABC's The Practice. She recently starred for two seasons in Netflix's Luke Cage.
  • She will play Paris, a priestess and adviser.
NETFLIX's CENTRAL PARK FIVE
  • Felicity Huffman, Jharrel Jerome and Jovan Adepo have booked series regular roles on the upcoming miniseries from Ava DuVernay. Huffman starred for eight seasons in ABC's Desperate Housewives and three seasons in ABC's American Crime. Jerome is a series regular on Audience's Mr. Mercedes - which begins its second season in August. Adepo starred for two seasons in HBO's The Leftovers and next stars in Facebook Watch's Sorry For Your Loss.
  • Huffman will play Linda Fairstein, the prosecutor who headed the Manhattan district attorney's sex crimes office during the case.
  • Jerome will play Korey Wise, one of the wrongfully convicted five who was charged as an adult in the case and served twelve years in prison before being exonerated.
  • Adepo will play Antron McCray, another member of the wrongfully convicted five who was released after serving six years in a New York State prison.
CBS' MAGNUM P.I.
  • Amy Hill has landed a recurring role - with a series regular option - on the upcoming drama starring Jay Hernandez. She has appeared in recurring roles on The CW's Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Lifetime's UnREAL, AMC's Preacher and CBS' Mom.
  • She will play Kumu, the charming and irreverent cultural curator and de facto "house mom" of Robin's Nest. Whip-smart, she makes sure neither Magnum (Hernandez) nor Higgins (Perdita Weeks) get away with anything on "her" property. But if they're ever in need, she is the first person to offer help from herself and her dozens of cousins, "tutus" (aunties) and neighbors all over Oahu. She's the funny and tart voice of the islands.
NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC's THE HOT ZONE
  • Julianna Margulies will play the lead role on the upcoming miniseries based on the novel of the same name. She starred for six seasons in NBC's ER and seven seasons in CBS' The Good Wife. She is currently a series regular on AMC's Dietland.
  • She will play Dr. Nancy Jaax, a U.S. Army scientist working with a secret military SWAT team and puts her life on the line to head off an Ebola outbreak before it can spread to the human population.
