During its presentation at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour, National Geographic announced the premiere date for the upcoming second season of its scripted/documentary hybrid series Mars.
The six episode second season will begin on Monday, November 12.
Returning actors Jihae Kim, Clémentine Poidatz, Sammi Rotibi, Alberto Ammann, Anamaria Marinca and Cosima Shaw will be joined by new cast additions Esai Morales, Roxy Sternberg, Gunnar Cauthery, Levi Fiehler, Evan Hall, Akbar Kurtha and Jeff Hephner.
Dee Johnson serves as showrunner for the second season. She executive produces with Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, Michael Rosenberg, Justin Wilkes, Everardo Gout, Tommy Turtle, Jonathan Silberberg, Lorenzo Mieli, Dave O'Connor and Jon Kamen. Imagine Entertainment produces.
