Hulu has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming original drama series The First starring Sean Penn and Natascha McElhone.
The drama will premiere on the streaming service on Friday, September 14.
Following the first human mission to Mars, the drama explores the challenges of taking the first steps toward interplanetary colonization. The story focuses not only on the astronauts, but also on their families and loved ones, as well as the ground team on Earth.
In addition to Penn and McElhone, the drama stars LisaGay Hamilton, Oded Fehr, James Ransone, Hannah Ware and Anna Jacoby-Heron.
Beau Willimon created the drama. He executive produces with Jordan Tappis. Westward Productions produces.
