USA Cancels 'Shooter' After 3 Seasons

USA has today decided to cancel its original drama series Shooter after three seasons. The upcoming season finale on Thursday, September 13 will now serve as the series finale.






In its third season, the drama starred Ryan Phillippe, Shantel VanSanten, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Omar Epps, Josh Stewart, Jesse Bradford and Gerald McRaney.

John Hlavin and Matty Kirwin developed the drama based on the series of novels by Stephen Hunter. Hlavin executive produced with Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Stephen Levinson and Mark Wahlberg. Phillippe was a producer. Universal Cable Productions, Paramount Television, Closest to the Hole Productions and Leverage Entertainment produced.

The cancellation after three seasons comes after the current episodes have been down double digits in the ratings and viewership from the second season.
