EPIX's OUR LADY, LTD
- Jacki Weaver will co-star on the upcoming drama starring Ben Kingsley and Jimmi Simpson. She received Academy Award nominations for her performances in Animal Kingdom and Silver Linings Playbook. She also starred for two seasons in Starz's Blunt Talk.
- She will play Lillian, who along with Pastor Byron Brown (Kingsley) are known to their parishioners as Ma and Pa and have used religion to bilk hundreds of innocent men and women out of their life savings. At first glance, Ma is a modest, dutiful church lady. But she is Pa's willing accomplice and his counterpart in regard to potency and cruelty.
NETFLIX's MR. IGLESIAS
- Richard Gant has been cast as a series regular while Tucker Albrizzi will recur on the upcoming comedy created by and starring Gabriel Iglesias. Gant starred for two seasons in TNT's Men of a Certain Age. Albrizzi currently recurs on NBC's AP Bio.
- Gant will play Ray Hayward, a mentor to Gabe (Iglesias).
- Albrizzi will play Walter, a lazy slacker.
ABC's STATION 19
- Dermot Mulroney has booked a recurring role on the drama's upcoming second season. He has previously recurred on Showtime's Shameless, HBO's Enlightened, FOX's New Girl and FOX's LA to Vegas. He next stars opposite Julia Roberts in Amazon's upcoming drama Homecoming.
- He will play a character who's back in town after an extended leave - much to the surprise of pretty much everyone who has ever known him. He's sharp witted, very perceptive, wickedly smart and he can charm his way into and out of almost any situation. He hasn't always been on the right side of the law, which really affects him - especially in the eyes of his son, police officer Ryan Tanner (Alberto Frezza).
BET's AMERICAN SOUL
- Sinqua Walls will play the lead role on the upcoming drama created by Devon Greggory. He starred for one season in VH1's The Breaks and two seasons in Starz's Power. He has also recurred on ABC's Once Upon a Time and MTV's Teen Wolf.
- He will play a young Don Cornelius, the creator of the hit show Soul Train. The drama is an unflinching look at the entrepreneur, his Soul Train dancers, crew and musicians in a cutthroat Hollywood in the 1970s and how they work, play, rise and fall against the backdrop of the show most responsible for the way African-American culture was perceived by the world.
NETFLIX's WHAT/IF
- Samantha Ware, Juan Castano, Keith Powers and Saamer Usmani have joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring Renée Zellweger, Jane Levy and Blake Jenner.
- Ware will play Angela. Castano will play Marcos. Powers will play Todd. Usmani will play Avery. Like with all previous casting, no additional details were immediately released about the characters.
