Paramount Network Cancels 'American Woman' After One Season

Paramount Network has decided to cancel its original comedy series American Woman after one season, it was announced today. The 11-episode first season wrapped its run on August 23, 2018.






The comedy starred Alicia Silverstone, Mena Suvari, Jennifer Bartels, Makenna James and Lia McHugh.

John Riggi created the comedy, with John Wells serving as showrunner for the first season. They executive produced with director Alex Hardcastle. Warner Horizon Television and John Wells Productions produced.

The cancellation comes just a few hours after it was announced that TV Land's Younger will be moving to Paramount for its upcoming sixth season and the order of the new series Emily in Paris.
