Hulu Orders 10 Episodes of Comedy 'Dollface' Starring Kat Dennings

Hulu has today given a series order to the original comedy series Dollface starring Kat Dennings (2 Broke Girls). Production on the new comedy will begin in 2019.

After being dumped by her longtime boyfriend, a young woman must deal with her own imagination in order to literally and metaphorically re-enter the world of women, and rekindle the female friendships she left behind.

Jordan Weiss (People of Earth) created the comedy, with Ira Ungerleider serving as showrunner and Matt Spicer as director. They will executive produce with Dennings, Margot Robbie, Brett Hedblom, Tom Ackerley, Bryan Unkeless, Scott Morgan, Nicole King and Stephanie Laing. ABC Signature Studios, LuckyChap Entertainment and Clubhouse Pictures will produce.

"Jordan is an exciting, new voice that has something specific and provocative to say about her generation," said Craig Erwich, Senior Vice President of Original Content, Hulu. "As we seek out fresh perspectives and new, though-provoking projects, Dollface is exactly the type of relatable, yet distinct, series we know our audience will love. We can't wait to work with Jordan and Kat, as well as our partners at ABC Signature Studios, LuckyChap Entertainment and Clubhouse Pictures, to bring this series to life."

"Reading Jordan's script was like opening a window into my own brain," added Dennings. "I'm so inspired by the stellar team we have around us and the unique world of this show, especially with Matt Spicer at the helm."
