WGN America Reveals Premiere Date for New Drama 'Pure'

WGN America has today announced the premiere date for the new original drama series Pure - its latest series acquisition from Canada.







The six-episode first season will premiere on Wednesday, January 23 at 10/9c. The drama has already been renewed for a second season, which will debut later in 2019.

The drama explores the insular world of the Mennonite community and the double that one pastor must adopt to protect his family from a crime syndicate.

The cast includes Ryan Robbins, Alex Paxton-Beesley, A.J. Buckley, Rosie Perez, Peter Outerbridge and Gord Rand.

Michael Amo created the drama, with Ken Girotti set as director. They executive produce with Brett Bulock, Peter Emerson and David MacLeod. Two East Productions and Cineflix produce in association with WGN America, Super Channel, Hulu and the CBC.
