ABC Reveals Premiere Date for 'The Goldbergs' Spinoff 'Schooled'

ABC has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming The Goldbergs spinoff Schooled as well as a new night for American Housewife.







New comedy Schooled will debut on Wednesday, January 9 at 8:30/7:30c. following a new episode of The Goldbergs.

Set in 1990-something, the comedy follows the faculty of William Penn Academy, led by new music teacher and WP graduate Lainey Lewis, Principal Glascott, Coach Mellor and young, enthusiastic super-teacher Charlie Brown, or CB for shot. Despite their eccentricities and crazy personal lives, these teachers are heroes to their students.

The comedy stars AJ Michalka, Tim Meadows, Bryan Callen and Brett Dier.

Adam F. Goldberg and Marc Firek created the comedy. They executive produce with Doug Robinson. ABC Studios and Sony Pictures Television produce.

Schooled's arrival will displace comedy American Housewife, which currently airs following The Goldbergs. Beginning February 5, the comedy will relocate to Tuesdays at 8/7c., which will become vacant after The Conners wraps its 11-episode first season. Furthermore, ABC has ordered an additional episode for the comedy's third season - bringing its total to 23 episodes.

The comedy stars Katy Mixon, Diedrich Bader, Meg Donnelly, Daniel DiMaggio, Julia Butters, Ali Wong and Carly Hughes.
