Amazon's Utopia; Apple's Dickinson; CBS All Access' Interrogation; and Netflix's Raising Dion.





AMAZON's UTOPIA
  • Sasha Lane will play the lead role on the upcoming drama created by Gillian Flynn. She first broke out in the 2016 film American Honey, which marked her first feature role. Since then, she has starred in the films Hearts Beat Loud, The Miseducation of Cameron Post and the upcoming Hellboy reboot.
  • She will play Jessica Hyde, who has become tough and feral after a life on the run from a mysterious and dangerous group. She believes all the answers about her perplexing life story may be hidden in the graphic novel Utopia.
CBS ALL ACCESS' INTERROGATION
  • David Strathairn has been cast in a lead role on the upcoming drama starring Peter Sarsgaard. He won an Emmy Award for his performance in the HBO film Temple Grandin. He was also nominated for an Academy Award for the 2005 film Good Night, and Good Luck. He also starred for two seasons in Syfy's Alphas. He has recently recurred on NBC's The Blacklist, Showtime's Billions and Syfy's The Expanse.
  • He will play a father whose settled, suburban life is blown to pieces when his 17-year-old son is charged, convicted and sent to prison for a brutal, unimaginable murder.
APPLE's DICKINSON
  • Matt Lauria has booked a recurring role on the upcoming comedy starring Hailee Steinfeld. He has previously starred for two seasons in NBC's Friday Night Lights and three seasons in Audience Network's Kingdom. He also appeared in a major recurring role on NBC's Parenthood.
  • He will play Ben Newton, a handsome clerk who works for Edward Dickinson (Toby Huss). He has an otherworldly quality when compared to the people of Amherst. He has a sensitivity that is uncommon for men of this time, which allows him and Emily (Steinfeld) to build a deeper connection.
NETFLIX's RAISING DION
  • Ali Ahn has landed a recurring role on the upcoming drama starring Alisha Wainwright and Jason Ritter. She has previously recurred on Netflix's Orange Is the New Black, Showtime's Billions and Hulu's The Path.
  • She will play Suzanne Wu, a scientist who lacks the ability to fake enthusiasm or interest. She's either fascinated or disengaged. She knows more about the company and its people than anyone.
