SHOWTIME's PENNY DREADFUL: CITY OF ANGELS
  • Nathan Lane has booked a lead role on the upcoming spinoff of Penny Dreadful. He is a three-time Tony Award winner for A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, The Producers and Angels in America. He has also been nominated for six Emmy Awards - for his guest performances on NBC's Frasier, NBC's Mad About You, CBS' The Good Wife and ABC's Modern Family. He also starred in the FX limited series The People v. O.J. Simpson.
  • He will play Lewis Michener, a veteran LAPD officer who is wise to the ways of the world and ruthless in pursuit of his goals. He becomes a partner and mentor to the young Detective Tiago Vega (Daniel Zovatto).
FACEBOOK WATCH's LIMETOWN
  • Rekha Sharma has been cast in a recurring role on the upcoming drama starring Jessica Biel. She has previously recurred on Syfy's Battlestar Galactica, The CW's The 100 and CBS All Access' Star Trek: Discovery.
  • She will play Sadia Latifi, the FBI agent assigned to keep an eye on Lia (Biel) throughout her investigation.
CBS ALL ACCESS' STRANGE ANGEL
  • Matthew Barnes has landed a recurring role on the drama's upcoming second season. He has previously recurred on FX's Atlanta and OWN's The Haves and the Have Nots. He will also appear in an upcoming episode of Netflix's new anthology Dolly Parton's Heartstrings.
  • He will play Agent Wallace, a sharp, high-ranking intelligence agent in charge of the rocketry team's increased security clearances. Schooled in information warfare, he casts a doubtful eye on the extracurricular occult practices of Parsons (Jack Reynor), creating an uneasy professional relationship that will dog Parsons and his team throughout the season.
SHOWTIME's CITY ON A HILL
  • James Remar and Gloria Reuben have joined the upcoming drama starring Kevin Bacon and Aldis Hodge in recurring roles. Remar previously starred for eight seasons in Showtime's Dexter. He currently stars in The CW's Black Lightning, which has already been renewed for a third season. Reuben previously starred for five seasons in NBC's ER. She currently stars in Freeform's Cloak & Dagger, which returns for its second season in April.
  • Remar will play Richy Ryan, a small-time bookie and the father of Frankie (Jonathan Tucker) and Jimmy (Mark O'Brien).
  • Reuben will play Eloise Hastings, a former '60s radical and the mother of Siobhan (Lauren E. Banks).
AMAZON's UTOPIA
  • Ashleigh LaThrop, Desmin Borges, Farrah Mackenzie and Christopher Denham will co-star on the upcoming drama starring Sasha Lane. LaThrop recurred in the first season of Netflix's The Kominsky Method. Borges starred in all five seasons of FXX's You're the Worst, which is currently airing its final season. Mackenzie starred in the film Logan Lucky. Denham starred for two seasons in WGN America's Manhattan and one season in CBS All Access' One Dollar.
  • LaThrop will play Becky, a bright and big-hearted young woman who uses her kindness and empathy as a way to get closer to the graphic novel she desperately needs to save her life.
  • Borges will play Wilson, a brilliant, paranoid and eccentric conspiracy theorist who is obsessed with the Utopia comic and is convinced it hides more dark secrets about the future of our world.
  • Mackenzie will play Alice, an adopted foster child who's bright and curious but has a steely resolve when thrown into the show's world.
  • Denham will play Arby, an emotionally stunted and disconnected, shark-like menace. His cold facade starts crumbling, however, as he learns dangerous truths about his childhood.
