FX Renews 'Better Things' for Season 4

FX has today renewed its original comedy series Better Things for a fourth season, which will debut in 2020. The renewal is the first since Disney took over ownership of the cable network last week.

The comedy stars Pamela Adlon, Mikey Madison, Hannah Alligood, Olivia Edward and Celia Imrie.

Adlon created the comedy. She also serves as showrunner and sole director. For the current third season, she oversaw a small writer's room. And finally, she received two Emmy nominations for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for the first two seasons.

"With every season, Better Things becomes more vital, engaging and revelatory, cementing Pamela Adlon's status as one of the most accomplished creative forces in television today," said John Landgraf, Chairman, FX Networks and FX Studios. "Rarely has there been a show that is so personal and, at the same time, so thoroughly universal in the way it explores modern parenting, family and life. We are thrilled to extend the series for a fourth season and to continue this incredible partnership with Pamela, her creative team and the amazing cast of Better Things."

"I am humbled, grateful and excited to tackle another season of stories and continue my creative partnership with my fearless FX team," added Adlon.
