DC Universe Announces Premiere Date for New Drama 'Swamp Thing' Starring Crystal Reed and Andy Bean

During its presentation at WonderCon this evening, DC Universe announced the premiere date for its upcoming original drama series Swamp Thing.







The first season will begin on Friday, May 31, with new episodes being released weekly.

CDC researcher Abby Arcane returns to her childhood home of Houma, Louisiana, in order to investigate a deadly swamp-borne virus. There, she develops a surprising bond with scientist Alec Holland - only to have him tragically taken from her. But as powerful forces descend on Houma, Abby will discover that the swamp holds mystical secrets, both horrifying and wondrous - and the potential love of her life may not be gone after all.

The drama stars Crystal Reed, Andy Bean, Kevin Durand, Maria Sten, Jeryl Prescott, Henderson Wade, Derek Mears, Will Patton and Virginia Madsen.

Recurring guest stars for the first season include Jennifer Beals, Leonardo Nam and Ian Ziering.

Mark Verheiden and Gary Dauberman developed the drama. They executive produce with James Wan, Michael Clear and director Len Wiseman. Warner Bros. Television and Atomic Monster Productions produce.
