BET has today given second season renewal orders to the original drama series American Soul and the original comedy series Boomerang. Both shows will return in 2020.

American Soul stars Sinqua Walls, Jason Dirden, Jelani Winston, Christopher Jefferson, Iantha Richardson, Kelly Price and Katlyn Nichol.
Jonathan Prince and Devon Greggory created the drama. They executive produce with Jesse Collins, Tony Cornelius and Peter O'Fallon. Jesse Collins Entertainment, Inphiniti Entertainment and Philoment Media produce.

Boomerang stars Tequan Richmond, Tetona Jackson, Leland B. Martin and Lala Milan.
Ben Cory Jones and Lena Waithe created the comedy, which serves as a sequel to the 1992 film. They executive produce with Halle Berry and Rishi Rajani. Paramount Television and Hillman Grad Productions produce.
