USA's BRIARPATCH
  • Ed Asner and Alan Cumming have been cast in recurring roles on the upcoming anthology drama starring Rosario Dawson. Asner is a seven-time Emmy winner - most notably for CBS' The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its spinoff Lou Grant. He recently starred in the first season of Netflix's Dead to Me. Cumming is a Tony winner for Cabaret and received three Emmy nominations for his supporting role on CBS' The Good Wife. He currently stars in CBS' Instinct, which returns for its second season later this week.
  • Asner will play James Staghorne Sr., owner of the town's newspaper and a longtime power broke at city hall. He never bothers to hide his racism and resentment and only speaks to his son, Jimmy Jr. - unless someone sets off his short fuse.
  • Cumming will play Clyde Brattle, an elegant and murderous arms dealer who's the target of a Senate investigation headed by Allegra (Dawson). A fugitive, he comes to town to settle old scores.
SHOWTIME's THE L WORD: GENERATION Q
  • Arienne Mandi, Leo Sheng, Jacqueline Toboni and Rosanny Zayas will co-star on the upcoming revival of the drama starring Jennifer Beals, Katherine Moennig and Leisha Hailey. Mandi starred in the web series In the Vault. Sheng appears in the Sundance film Adam. Toboni had a major recurring role on NBC's Grimm and also appeared in Netflix's Easy. Zayas has recently recurred on CBS' The Code.
  • Mandi will play Dani Nuñez, a powerful and calculating PR executive whose ambition is only tested by her conscience.
  • Sheng will play Micah Lee, an earnest, soft-spoken adjunct professor who is forced to confront his fear of vulnerability.
  • Toboni will play Sarah Finley, a charming but unfocused assistant who struggles to reconcile her sexual orientation with her religious upbringing.
  • Zayas will play Sophie Suarez, a television producer who guards her heart and is quick to put other people's needs before her own.
SHOWTIME's YOUR HONOR
  • Hunter Doohan has joined the cast of the upcoming limited series starring Bryan Cranston. His guest credits include HBO's Westworld, ABC's Schooled and Netflix's What/If. He next appears in a recurring role on Apple's upcoming drama Truth Be Told.
  • He will play Adam Desiato, a high school senior who is involved in a hit-and-run accident that sets off a chain of events that lead to lies, deceit and impossible choices for himself and his father, a respected New Orleans judge (Cranston).
STARZ's P-VALLEY
  • Loretta Devine has landed a recurring role on the upcoming drama starring Brandee Evans and Nicco Annan. She won an Emmy Award for her guest performance on ABC's Grey's Anatomy. She recently starred for three seasons in NBC's The Carmichael Show and had recurring roles on OWN's Love Is and BET's Being Mary Jane. She next stars in Netflix's family sitcom Family Reunion, which debuts in July.
  • She will the Granmuva of Uncle Clifford and the former proprietress of The Pynk. Though she may be blind, she sees through the tangled mess of inherited injustice and contradictions that have long ruled the South.
