WarnerMedia Orders 10 Episodes of Drama 'Tokyo Vice' Starring Ansel Elgort

WarnerMedia's forthcoming streaming service has today given a series order to the original drama series Tokyo Vice starring Ansel Elgort (Baby Driver, West Side Story). The first season will produce ten episodes.

Based on the non-fiction book by journalist Jake Adelstein, the drama is set in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police beat and details his daily descent into the neon soaked underbelly of Tokyo, where nothing and no one is truly what or who they seem.

Elgort will play Adelstein, the American journalist who embeds himself into the Tokyo Vice police squad to reveal corruption.

J.T. Rogers (Oslo) is writing the series while Destin Daniel Cretton (Short Term 12) will direct. They will executive produce with Elgort, John Lesher and Emily Gerson Saines. Endeavor Content will produce.
