AMAZON's HOMECOMING
  • Janelle Monáe will play the lead role on the drama's upcoming second season. She previously starred in the 2016 critically acclaimed films Hidden Figures and Moonlight. She next appears in the films Harriet starring Cynthia Erivo and Disney's Lady and the Tramp live-action remake. As a singer-songwriter, she has been nominated for seven Grammy Awards. 
  • She will play a tenacious woman who finds herself floating in a canoe, with no memory of how she got there - or even who she is.
SHOWTIME's THE L WORD: GENERATION Q
  • Olivia Thirlby, Fortune Feimster, Lex Scott Davis and Sophie Giannamore will appear in the upcoming revival of the hit drama series. Thirlby previously starred for one season in Amazon's Goliath. Feimster starred for three seasons in Hulu's The Mindy Project. Davis starred in the 2018 film The First Purge. Giannamore's guest credits include Amazon's Transparent and ABC's The Good Doctor.
  • Thirlby will play Rebecca, a kind-hearted woman who often finds herself attracted to the wrong kind of women.
  • Feimster will play Heather, an aspiring comedian who lacks boundaries.
  • Davis will play Quiara, a sensual lead singer whose international travels bring her back to Los Angeles.
  • Giannamore will play Jordi, a rebellious teen with absentee parents.
HBO's PERRY MASON
  • Juliet Rylance, Andrew Howard, Eric Lange, Robert Patrick and Stephen Root have joined the cast of the upcoming limited series starring Matthew Rhys, Tatiana Maslany and John Lithgow. Rylance starred for two seasons in Cinemax's The Knick and one season in AMC's McMafia. Howard currently stars in HBO's Watchmen, which debuts this fall. Lange starred in the Showtime limited series Escape at Dannemora and next appears in the Netflix limited series Unbelievable. Patrick starred for two seasons in FOX's The X-Files, four seasons in CBS' The Unit, one season in HBO's True Blood and four seasons in CBS' Scorpion. Root currently stars in HBO's Barry, which has been renewed for a third season and just earned Root his first career Emmy nomination.
  • Rylance will play Della Street, E.B. Jonathan's (Lithgow) legal secretary. She has the brains, know-how, creativity and drive to be a CEO at any modern-day corporation. But this is 1931...
  • Howard and Lange will recur as Detectives Ennis and Holcomb, a commanding force of homicide detectives within the LAPD. They are masters of intimidation with a knack for getting their way without regard for proper procedure.
  • Patrick will recur as Herman Baggerly, a major player in a variety of Southern California industries. He is a member of the same Pentecostal church as the Dodson family and hires E.B. Jonathan and Perry Mason (Rhys) to run a parallel investigation to the LAPD.
  • Root will recur as Maynard Barnes, a formidable prick of a man who knows how to glad-hand and intimidate whenever an occasion calls for either. As District Attorney, he is confident in everything he does.
