Netflix Cancels 'She's Gotta Have It' After Two Seasons

Netflix has today opted to cancel its original dramedy series She's Gotta Have It after two seasons. The 9-episode second and now final season debuted on May 24, 2019.

The dramedy starred DeWanda Wise, Anthony Ramos, Lyriq Bent, Cleo Anthony, Margot Bingham, Chyna Layne and De'Adre Aziza.

Spike Lee developed the series based on his feature film of the same name. He executive produced with Tonya Lewis Lee. 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks and Tonik Productions produce.

"Spike Lee is one of the greatest filmmakers of all time and we're thrilled he brought the series She's Gotta Have It to Netflix," said Ted Sarandos, Chief Content Officer, Netflix. "While this is our last season, we're very proud that it will be on our service for years to come, and excited to be working with Spike on his upcoming Netflix film Da 5 Bloods."
