Netflix Renews '13 Reasons Why' for Fourth and Final Season

Netflix has today renewed its original drama series 13 Reasons Why for a fourth and final season. Moreover, the streaming service has announced today the premiere date for the upcoming third season.






All 13 episodes of the third season will be available on Friday, August 23. Production on the fourth and final season will begin shortly for a debut in 2020.

Eight months after preventing Tyler from committing an unthinkable act at Spring Fling, Clay, Tony, Jessica, Alex, Justin and Zach find ways to shoulder the burden of the cover-up together while helping Tyler move toward recovery. But when the aftermath of a tumultuous Homecoming game culminates in the disappearance of a football player, and Clay finds himself under police scrutiny, it's up to a shrewd outsider to steer the group through an investigation that threatens to lay bare everyone's deepest secrets. The stakes are raised as the consequences of even the most well-intended actions can alter a life forever.

The drama stars Dylan Minnette, Brandon Flynn, Alisha Boe, Justin Prentice, Christian Navarro, Miles Heizer, Devin Druid, Ross Butler, Timothy Granaderos, Anne Winters, Steven Weber, Brenda Strong, Amy Hargreaves and Grace Saif.

Brian Yorkey developed the drama and will continue to serve as showrunner. He executive produces with Selena Gomez, Joy Gorman, Mandy Teefey, Kristel Laiblin and Steve Golin. Paramount Television and Anonymous Content produce.
