BET is moving forward with its second series created by Tyler Perry. Today, the cable network has given a series order to the original drama series Sistas. Production will begin shortly for a premiere in the fall.
The drama follows a group of single black women from different walks of life who bond over their one common thread: Why am I single? These women navigate their "complicated love life" status, careers and friendship through the ups-and-downs of living in a modern world of social media and unrealistic relationship girls.
KJ Smith, Ebony Obsidian, Mignon Von and Novi Brown will star.
Perry created the drama and will also direct. He will serve as executive produce with Michelle Sneed. Tyler Perry Studios will produce in association with BET Networks.
