Four months after being ordered to series, Hulu has scrapped its plans to produce the original drama series Ghost Rider from Marvel. The news today comes due to creative differences regarding the project.
The drama was set to feature Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Gabriel Luna reprising his role as Robbie Reyes, a quintessential antihero, consumed by hellfire and supernaturally bound to a demon. He lives on the Texas-Mexico border and when he unleashes the Rider, he brings vengeance for the innocents he encounters, but struggles to control the power he wields.
Ingrid Escajeda (Justified, Sneaky Pete) developed the drama and would have served as showrunner. She executive produced with Paul Zbyszewski and Jeph Loeb. ABC Signature Studios and Marvel Television produced.
