BET Sets Premiere Date for New Comedy 'Twenties' Created by Lena Waithe

During its presentation at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour, BET announced the premiere date for the upcoming original comedy series Twenties.






The first season of the comedy will premiere on Wednesday, March 4 at 10/9c. 

The comedy follows the adventures of a queer black girl, Hattie, and her two straight best friends, Marie and Nia, who spend most of their days talking "ish" and chasing their dreams. It's a show about friendship, finding love and messing everything up along the way.

Jonica T. Gibbs, Christina Elmore, Gabrielle Graham, Sophina Brown and Big Sean star.

Guest stars in the first season include Jenifer Lewis, Rick Fox, Vanessa Williams, Seth Green, Iman Shumpert, Kym Whitley, Chuey Martinez, Marsha Thomason and Nazanin Mandi.

Lena Waithe created the comedy, with Susan Fales-Hill serving as showrunner. They executive produce with Rishi Rajani, Andrew Coles and director Justin Tipping. Hillman Grad Productions produces.
