HBO Max Sets Premiere Dates for 'Close Enough,' 'Doom Patrol' and 'Search Party'

HBO Max has today announced premiere dates for a number of its original scripted series including new seasons of Doom Patrol and Search Party as well as new series Close Enough.

The second season of drama Doom Patrol will premiere on Thursday, June 25. The new season will be available on both HBO Max and DC Universe.

DC's strangest group of heroes - Cliff Steele aka Robotman, Larry Trainor aka Negative Man, Rita Farr aka Elasti-Woman, Jane aka Crazy Jane, and Victor Stone aka Cyborg - are back again to save the world. That is, if they can find a way to grow up... both figuratively and literally. Following the defeat of Mr. Nobody, the members of the Doom Patrol now find themselves mini-sized and stranded on Cliff's toy race car track. Here they begin to deal with their feelings of betrayal by Niles Caulder aka The Chief, while confronting their own personal baggage. And as each member faces the challenges of growing beyond their own past traumatic experiences, they must come together to embrace and protect the newest member of the family: Dorothy Spinner, Niles' daughter, whose powers remain a mysterious but real threat to bringing on the end of the world.

The drama stars Diane Guerrero, April Bowlby, Matt Bomer, Matthew Zuk, Brendan Fraser, Riley Shanahan, Joivan Wade, Abigail Shapiro and Timothy Dalton.

Jeremy Carver developed the drama based on the DC Comics characters. He executive produces with Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Geoff Johns and Chris Dingess. Warner Bros. Television and Berlanti Productions produce.

The third season of comedy Search Party will debut on Thursday, June 25. The first two seasons of the original series will be available on the streaming service at launch on May 27.

The gang finds themselves swept up in the trial of the century after Dory and Drew are charged for the semi-accidental murder of a private investigator. As Elliott and Portia grapple with whether or not to testify as witnesses, the friends are pitted against each other and thrust into the national spotlight. Dory's sanity begins to fracture, and it becomes increasingly clear that the group may not have brunch together again for quite some time.

The comedy stars Alia Shawkat, John Reynolds, John Early and Meredith Hagner.

Sarah-Violet Bliss, Charles Rogers and Michael Showalter created the comedy. They executive produce with Lilly Burns and Tony Hernandez. Jax Media produces.

New animated comedy series Close Enough will begin on Thursday, July 9.

The surreal animated comedy follows a married couple, their 5-year-old daughter, and their two divorced best friends/roommates all living together on the east side of Los Angeles. They're navigating that transitional time in your 30s when life is about growing up, but not growing old. It's about juggling work, kids and pursuing your dreams, while avoiding time-traveling snails, stripper clowns and murderous mannequins. Their life may not be ideal but for now, it's close enough.

JG Quintel created the comedy. Cartoon Network Studios produces.
