AppleTV+ has today given a series order to the original comedy series The Afterparty created by Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The LEGO Movie, 21 Jump Street). The first season will produce eight episodes.
Set at a high school reunion afterparty, each episode of the comedic murder mystery will feature a retelling of the same night told through a different character's perspective, each with its own unique visual format and film genre to match the teller's personality.
Miller will serve as showrunner on the first season. Aubrey Lee will serve as a producer. Sony Pictures Television, TriStar Television and Lord Miller Productions will produce.
