HBO Cancels 'Betty' After 2 Seasons

HBO has today announced the cancellation of its original comedy series Betty after two seasons. The comedy finished its 12-episode run on July 16, 2021.






The comedy starred Dede Lovelace, Kabrina Adams, Nina Moran, Ajani Russell and Rachelle Vinberg.

Crystal Moselle created the comedy based on her feature film Skate Kitchen. She also directed every episode of the series. And finally, Moselle executive produced with Igor Srubshchik, Jason Weinberg and Alliah Mourad.

HBO released the following statement on the cancellation: "We will not be moving forward with a third season of Betty. We are very grateful for the collaboration with Crystal and our incredible cast - their fearless exploration of the world of New York City's skate culture will remain a beautiful emblem of friendship and community."
