ABC Sets Premiere Dates for 'Black-ish' Final Season, 'Abbott Elementary' and 'Promised Land'

ABC has today announced the premiere dates for the upcoming final season of its original comedy series Black-ish as well as the series debuts of comedy Abbott Elementary and drama Promised Land.






New comedy Abbott Elementary will launch with a special preview on Tuesday, December 7 at 9:30/8:30c. It will then make its regular time slot debut on Tuesday, January 4 at 9/8c.

The comedy stars Quinta Brunson, Tyler James Williams, Janelle James, Chris Perfetti, Lisa Ann Walter and Sheryl Lee Ralph.

Brunson created the comedy. She executive produces with Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker and Randall Einhorn. Warner Bros. Television, 20th Television and Delicious Non-Sequitur Productions produce.


The eighth and final season of Black-ish will premiere on Tuesday, January 4 at 9:30/8:30c.

The comedy stars Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Marcus Scribner, Miles Brown, Marsai Martin, Peter Mackenzie, Deon Cole, Jeff Meacham, Katlyn Nichol and Jenifer Lewis.

Kenya Barris created the comedy. He executive produces with Anderson, Laurence Fishburne, Jonathan Groff, Brian Dobbins and Helen Sugland. ABC Signature, Khalabo Ink Society, Cinema Gypsy Productions and Artists First produce.


New debut Promised Land will debut on Monday, January 24 at 10/9c.

The drama stars John Ortiz, Cecilia Suárez, Christina Ochoa, Mariel Molino, Andres Velez, Augusto Aguilera, Tonatiuh, Katya Martin, Rolando Chusan and Bellamy Young.

Matt Lopez created the drama. He executive produces with Adam Kolbrenner, Maggie Malina and Michael Cuesta. ABC Signature and Lit Entertainment Group produce.


The broadcast network also announced today that the new season of The Bachelor will launch on Monday, January 3 at 8/7c. while new episodes of The Chase will start airing on Wednesday, January 5 at 10/9c.
