Casting News - Kim Cattrall to Recur on 'Queer as Folk' Reboot; 'One Piece' Sets Main Cast; Plus 2 More Updates!

FX's Snowfall; Netflix's One Piece; Peacock's Angelyne & Queer as Folk; and Showtime's Super Pumped.

  • Kim Cattrall has been cast in a recurring role on the upcoming drama reboot starring Jesse James Keitel and Ryan O'Connell. She previously starred for six seasons in HBO's Sex and the City as well as its two feature film followups. Last week, she joined the cast of Hulu's upcoming comedy How I Met Your Father starring Hilary Duff.
  • She will play a martini-soaked, high-society Southern debutant with trailer park roots.
  • David Krumholtz has landed recurring roles on the Peacock limited series starring Emmy Rossum and the Showtime anthology drama starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt. He previously starred for six seasons in CBS' Numb3rs, three seasons in HBO's The Deuce and in the HBO limited series The Plot Against America.
  • No details were immediately announced about the role he will be playing on Angelyne.
  • On Super Pumped, he will play Sergey Brin, the co-founder of Google.
  • Brandon Jay McLaren, DeVaughn Nixon and Tiffany Lonsdale have booked recurring roles on the drama's upcoming fifth season. McLaren previously starred for three seasons in USA's Graceland, three seasons in CBS' Ransom and one season in Disney+'s Turner & Hooch. Nixon stars in HBO's upcoming untitled drama about the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1980s. Lonsdale starred in the third season of Freeform's Siren.
  • McLaren will play Buckley, a detective with the Community Resources Against Street Hoodlums (C.R.A.S.H.) unit. He is attractive, outwardly tough, but is constantly battling his own demons, including a drug addiction and a failing marriage.
  • Nixon will play Kane Hamilton, a powerful ex-con who used to be a member of the neighborhood. Almost like an older brother to Franklin (Damson Idris) and Leon (Isaiah John), and an actual older brother to Kevin (Malcolm Mays).
  • Lonsdale will play Parissa, who is strong-willed, powerful, educated, sexual, and with a droll and dry sense of humor. She's a former physician who has a history with Teddy (Carter Hudson) and tends to him after he's been hurt.
  • Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero Gibson and Taz Skylar will star in the upcoming live-action adaptation of the Japanese manga series. Godoy previously starred for two seasons in Netflix's Who Killed Sara?. Mackenyu appeared in the 2018 feature film Pacific Rim: Uprising. Rudd starred in Netflix's Fear Street film franchise. Gibson recurred on OWN's Greenleaf. Skylar wrote and directed the short film Multi-Facial.
  • Godoy will play Monkey D. Luffy.
  • Mackenyu will play Roronoa Zoro.
  • Rudd will play Nami.
  • Gibson will play Usopp.
  • Skylar will play Sanji.
