ABC Renews 'The Goldbergs' for Season 10

ABC has today renewed its original comedy series The Goldbergs for its tenth season. The comedy will return as part of the broadcast network's upcoming 2022-23 schedule.

The comedy stars Wendi McLendon-Covey, Sean Giambrone, Troy Gentile, Hayley Orrantia and Sam Lerner.

Adam F. Goldberg created the comedy, with Alex Barnow and Chris Bishop set to return as showrunners. They executive produce with McLendon-Covey, Doug Robinson, Annette Davis, Mike Sikowitz and David Guarascio. Sony Pictures Television, Happy Madison and Doug Robinson Productions produce.

The renewal comes after a chaotic year behind-the-scenes for the veteran series. George Segal died in March 2021 following complications from bypass surgery. His character was written out of the series in the ninth season premiere last fall. Then in December 2021, Jeff Garlin left the cast following multiple misconduct allegations and HR investigations. The comedy has utilized digital tools to keep the character around in a limited capacity for the remainder of the ninth season.
