ABC's UNTITLED KAY OYEGUN PROJECT
  • Sendhil Ramamurthy, Johnny Simmons, Rachel Hilson, Demetrius Grosse and Rahnuma Panthaky will star opposite Marsha Stephanie Blake in the drama pilot written by Kay Oyegun. Ramamurthy previously starred for four seasons in NBC's Heroes and three seasons in USA's Covert Affairs. Simmons starred in Netflix's one-season comedy Girlboss. Hilson currently stars in Hulu's Love, Victor, which returns for its third and final season in June. Grosse recently recurred on AMC's Fear the Walking Dead and AppleTV+'s Swagger. Panthaky recurred on MTV's Teen Wolf and ABC's Modern Family.
  • Ramamurthy will play Amit, who is a big-hearted, instantly likable, gentle, intuitive and well-respected relationship therapist at the Mindful Insight Therapy Group. He and his wife, Sonali, are known for their very successful "Dara Method" for helping rescue marriages. Amit can read his wife just by sitting next to her and believes that they are perfectly in sync with each other both in and out of the office.
  • Simmons will play Clay, a charming, confident (perhaps overly-so) and self-assured military veteran and therapist at the Mindful Insight Therapy Group. He has the quick, agile humor to be Ellen's (Blake) favorite verbal sparring partner. He's the kind of guy you wanna hate a little but just can't. And much of his charm and bluster is a shield under which he hides the wounds and demons he struggles to keep at bay.
  • Hilson will play Naomi Josef, a fresh-faced, smart and enthusiastic idealist who leads with her heart and radiates warmth. She is a recent graduate who is joining the practice to start her career as a therapist. She has a hero worship of Ellen and a deeply-help religious belief and uses those two things to guide her as she tries to navigate her way into the real world.
  • Grosse will play Theodore Ghanem, a blue-collar, handsome, tough, rough around the edges and cocky detective. Once you get to know him, he's a good guy with solid principles, but he definitely isn't opposed to bending the law when it's necessary.
  • Panthaky will play Sonali, a brilliant, intuitive, and impeccably put-together relationship therapist at the Mindful Insight Therapy Group. She and her husband, Amit, are known for their very successful "Dara Method" for helping to rescue marriages. Sonali and Amit seem like a perfectly in sync couple who have been married a long time and seem to have the ease that comes with comfort and familiarity, but she has some unvoiced concerns about their marriage.
