HBO Max Reveals Premiere Date for New Comedy 'Rap Sh!t' Created by Issa Rae and Syreeta Singleton

HBO Max has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original comedy series Rap Sh!t starring Aida Osman and KaMillion.







The 8-episode first season will launch on Thursday, July 21 with its first two episodes. New episodes will then be released weekly every Thursday until the season finale on September 1.

The comedy follows two estranged high school friends from Miami, Shawna (Osman) and Mia (KaMillion), who reunite to form a rap group.

In addition to Osman and KaMillion, the comedy stars Jonica Booth, Devon Terrell and RJ Cyler.

Issa Rae created the comedy, with Syreeta Singleton serving as showrunner. They executive produce with Montrel McKay, Jonathan Berry, Dave Becky and Deniese Davis. Hip hop duo Yung Miami and JT of City Girls serve as co-executive producers, along with Kevin "Coach K" Lee and Pierre "P" Thomas. Hoorae Productions, Quality Control Films and 3 Arts Entertainment produce.
