Casting News - Sarah Snook and Demi Lardner Join Hulu's 'Koala Man'; ABC's 'Grey's Anatomy' Adds Midori Francis

Casting News - July 22, 2022

ABC's Grey's Anatomy and Hulu's Koala Man

HULU's KOALA MAN
  • Sarah Snook and Demi Lardner have joined the voice cast of the upcoming animated comedy created by and starring Michael Cusack. Snook currently stars in HBO's Succession, which has been renewed for a fourth season. Lardner is an Australian comedian.
  • Snook will play Vicky, who thinks her husband Kevin (Cusack) is just going through a phase. While she tolerates Koala Man, she hopes Kevin will snap out of whatever bizarre midlife crisis he's going through. Vicky sincerely loves Kevin for his reliability, but now that his Koala Man duties are making him less reliable, she's questioning if settling down was the right choice. She sees how dedicated Kevin is to being Koala Man and, as the school canteen lady, feels like she's missing having a passion in life.
  • Lardner will play Alison, Liam's (also Cusack) 35-seconds-older twin, who has an almost sociopathic preoccupation with being popular. Ruthlessly intelligent, determined and manipulate, she knows exactly how many followers you have on IG. She's got a list of all the coolest kids and a plan to destroy them so she can rise the ranks. To do so, Alison tries to distance herself from Liam, Vicky and Koala Man, staying laser-focused on becoming The Most Powerful Girl in School.
ABC's GREY'S ANATOMY
  • Midori Francis is the latest addition to the cast of the drama's upcoming nineteenth season. She currently stars in HBO Max's The Sex Lives of College Girls, which has been renewed for a second season. She previously starred in the Netflix limited series Dash & Lily.
  • She will play Mika Yasuda, a new surgical resident at Grey Sloan. A middle child with eight siblings, she is used to being overlooked and underestimated and uses it to her advantage. Mika is dealing with overwhelming student loans from med school, but she's scrappy and confident she can make it in the program and rise to the top.
