Reggaeton Comedy 'Neon' Ordered to Series at Netflix

Netflix has today given a series order to the original comedy series Neon set in the musical world of reggaeton. The first season will produce 8 episodes, which will likely debut in 2023.






Three friends move from a small town in Florida to Miami with the hopes of making it big in the world of reggaeton. The show will chronicle not only their larger than life dreams but the harsh comic realities of attempting to make it in the music industry.

The comedy will star Tyler Dean Flores, Emma Ferreira, Jordan Mendoza and Courtney Taylor.

Shea Serrano and Max Searle created the comedy. They will executive produce with Scooter Braun, Scott Manson and James Shin. Kyle Vinuya will serve as a co-executive producer, with Mendoza as a consulting producer. SB Projects will produce in association with Netflix.
