NBC Renews 'Quantum Leap' for Season 2

NBC has today renewed its original drama series Quantum Leap for a second season. The renewal comes two months after the broadcast network ordered six additional episodes for the drama's first season - capping it at 18 episodes. The renewal keeps the drama on air through the network's 2023-24 broadcast schedule.

The drama stars Raymond Lee, Caitlin Bassett, Mason Alexander Park, Nanrisa Lee and Ernie Hudson.

Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt developed the reboot of the 1990s drama. They executive produce with Martin Gero, Dean Georgaris, Don Bellisario, Deborah Pratt and Chris Grismer. Universal Television, I Have an Idea! Entertainment, Belisarius Productions and Quinn's House Productions produce.

"We're leaping into a second season thanks to the incredible work by our cast, producers, writers and everyone who has played a role in giving this iconic NBC series a new life," said Lisa Katz, President of Scripted Content, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming. "As we continue to bring audiences to our must-watch dramas, it's gratifying to know Quantum Leap will have a prominent place next season both on our NBC schedule and next day on Peacock."
