Netflix Renews 'Big Mouth' for Eighth and Final Season

Netflix has today renewed its original animated comedy series Big Mouth for an eighth and final season. Moreover, the streaming service has announced that the series' spinoff Human Resources will also end with its upcoming second season.

The renewal of Big Mouth today for an eighth season will make the program the longest-running series in Netflix history, outside of Kids & Family programming. Season 7 will launch later this year, with Season 8 airing in 2024. Human Resources will conclude with its second season, which will air in the coming months. However, the characters and stories from Human Resources will flow into the final seasons of Big Mouth.

Big Mouth stars Nick Kroll, John Mulaney, Jessi Klein, Jason Mantzoukas, Ayo Edebiri, Fred Armisen, Maya Rudolph and Jordan Peele.

Kroll co-created the comedy with Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin and Jennifer Flackett. Brutus Pink and Titmouse produce.

Human Resources stars Aidy Bryant, Randall Park, Keke Palmer, David Thewlis, Brandon Kyle Goodman, Maya Rudolph and Nick Kroll.

Kroll co-created the comedy with Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin, Jennifer Flackett and Kelly Galuska. Brutus Pink and Titmouse produce.

"If you would have told adolescent Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg that middle school would take 8 years to finish, they would have been like 'yeah, that sounds about right. This seems like it will never end,'" said Kroll.

"Big Mouth is a towering achievement in animated comedy that will make Netflix history for its longevity," added Billy Wee, Director of Adult Animation, Netflix. "We are thrilled that we still have two more hilarious seasons to share with fans before this brilliant coming of age story reaches its conclusion."
