NBC Acquires Seasons 3 and 4 of 'Transplant'

NBC originally picked up the stateside rights to the Canadian drama Transplant in May 2020 to cope with the production shutdown from the COVID-19 pandemic. And now, the broadcast network has picked up the third and fourth seasons of the medical drama as it prepares for any lingering effects from the current writers' strike.

The drama has currently aired for three seasons on CTV - serving as the most-watched Canadian original series. It has been renewed a fourth season. The first season was successful when it aired on NBC in Fall 2020. However, the ratings dropped off for the second season when it aired stateside in Spring 2022 - eventually being burned off on Saturday nights in the summer.

The drama stars Hamza Haq, Laurence Leboeuf, John Hannah, Jim Watson and Ayisha Issa.

Joseph Kay created the drama. He executive produces Jocelyn Deschenes, Bruno Dube, Randy Lennox, Virginia Rankin, Jeremy Spry and Tara Woodbury. NBCUniversal International Studios and Sphere Media produce.
