Premieres for previously announced fall series - Night Court, Extended Family, Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU - will be announced at a later date. Their returns are contingent on the conclusion of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes against the AMPTP.

Midseason and summer shows previously announced include an untitled America's Got Talent series, Deal or No Deal Island, Password, The America's, Law & Order: Organized Crime, Lopez vs. Lopez and La Brea.

NBC will notably be one of the few broadcast network with original scripted content this fall. That was a result of early pickups for new dramas Found and The Irrational, which already them to complete production on their first seasons before the strikes shut down work in the industry. It's currently unclear if Quantum Leap completed production on its second season. However, production started early to bank several episodes in case of the strike. And finally, the episodes of Magnum P.I. airing this fall will serve as the final 10 episodes in the series' five-season run.
