AppleTV+ Sets Premiere Date for New Drama 'Monarch: Legacy of Monsters' Starring Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell

AppleTV+ has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original drama series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters based on Legendary's Monsterverse.






The 10-episode first season will premiere on Friday, November 17 with its first two episodes. New episodes will then be released weekly every Friday until the season finale on January 12.

Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco, and the shocking revelation that monsters are real, two siblings follow in their father's footsteps to uncover their family's connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch. Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Army officer Lee Shaw, taking place in the 1950s and half a century later where Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows. The dramatic saga - spanning three generations - reveals buried secrets and the ways that epic, earth-shattering events can reverberate through our lives.

The drama stars Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell, Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Anders Holm, Joe Tippett and Elisa Lasowski.

Chris Black and Matt Fraction developed the drama. They executive produce with Joby Harold, Tory Tunnell, Andy Goddard, Brad Van Arragon, Andrew Colville, Hiro Matsuoka, Takemasa Arita and director Matt Shakman. Legendary Television, Safehouse Pictures and Toho Co. Ltd. produce.
