Starz Cancels 'Minx' After Two Seasons

Starz has today decided to cancel its original comedy series Minx after two seasons. The comedy completed its 18-episode run on September 8, 2023.

The comedy starred Ophelia Lovibond, Jessica Lowe, Oscar Montoya, Lennon Parham, Idara Victor and Jake Johnson.

Ellen Rapoport created the comedy. She executive produced with Paul Feig, Dan Magnante, Ben Karlin and Rachel Lee Goldenberg. Johnson served as a co-executive producer. Lionsgate Television, Feigco Entertainment and Rapoport Industries produced.

This was actually the second time Minx was cancelled. The period comedy originally aired its first season on Max in March 2022. The streamer originally renewed the series for a second season. However, it then reversed that decision in the midst of production. Lionsgate completed work on the 8-episode second season in the hopes of successfully shopping it to other outlets. Starz stepped in to air the season. But now, it's become clear that Starz is moving out of the comedy space as it no longer has any series in that format on its lineup.
