Hallmark has today renewed its original drama series When Calls the Heart for a 14th season. Production on the 12-episode season will begin next year for a 2027 debut.
The drama returns for its 12-episode 13th season on Sunday, January 4 at 9/8c.
Based on the novel by Janette Oke, the drama stars Erin Krakow, Kevin McGarry, Jack Wagner, Chris McNally, Pascale Hutton and Kavan Smith.
Furthermore, the network confirmed that original series regular Lori Loughlin will reprise her role as Abigail Stanton in Season 14. She is set to appear in six of the 12 episodes.
Brad Krevoy, Brian Bird, Michael Landon Jr., Joy Gregory, Mike Rohl, Jimmy Townsend, Amy Hartwick, Erin Krakow, Susie Belzberg and Michael Shepard executive produce. All Canadian Entertainment Production, Brad Krevoy Television and Believe Pictures produce.
"Since the series' debut in 2014, the character of Abigail Stanton was a fan favorite and beloved by the Hearties," said Michelle Vicary, Head of Programming, Hallmark Media. "At its core the Hallmark brand is about hope, positivity and connection, which is also the central theme of When Calls the Heart. We felt that Season 14 was the right time to continue Abigail's story with her return to this beloved series."
