Hulu Orders Six Episodes of Comedy 'Mosquito' Starring Nicholas Hoult and Daisy Edgar-Jones

Hulu has today given a series order to the original comedy series Mosquito starring Nicholas Hoult (Superman, The Great) and Daisy Edgar-Jones (Normal People, Twisters). Production on the six-episode first season will begin in 2026.

The sardonic comedy follows Kate (Edgar-Jones) and Ed (Hoult), a recently married couple, whose secrets begin to unravel as daily life chips away at the personas they present... all started by an intrusive mosquito.

Tony McNamara (The Great, Poor Things) created the series. He will executive produce with Hoult, Edgar-Jones, Marian Macgowan, Tracy Underwood and Daniel Pipski. 20th Television, Piggy Ate Roast Beef Productions and Hustle & Punch will produce.

The series will be released on Hulu in the United States and be available on Disney+ globally.

"I'm thrilled and excited to work with and team up two of the best actors around," said McNamara. "I can't wait to go make absurd comedy with them."
