Netflix has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming fifth and final season of its original comedy series The Upshaws.
All 12 episodes of the fifth and final season - dubbed Part 7 - will be available on Thursday, January 15.
Bennie Upshaw, the head of a Black working class family in Indianapolis, is a charming, well-intentioned mechanic and lifelong mess just trying his best to step up and care for his family - wife Regina, their two young daughters and firstborn son, the teenage son he fathered with another woman - and tolerate his sardonic sister-in-law, all without a blueprint for success. But the Upshaws are determined to make it work, and make it to the next level, together.
The comedy stars Mike Epps, Wanda Sykes, Kim Fields, Diamond Lyons, Khali Spraggins, Journey Christine and Jermelle Simon.
Sykes co-created the comedy with Regina Hicks. They executive produce with Epps, Page Hurwitz and Niles Kirchner. Savannah Street Productions, Push It Productions and Naptown Productions produce.
