Ahead of the drama's fourth season premiere later this month, AMC has renewed its original drama series Dark Winds for a fifth season. Production on eight new episodes will begin in Santa Fe, New Mexico this March for a 2027 premiere.
The drama stars Zahn McClarnon, Kiowa Gordon, Jessica Matten and Deanna Allison.
Graham Roland created the drama based on the novels by Tony Hillerman. He executive produces with McClarnon, John Wirth, George R.R. Martin, Chris Eyre, Tina Elmo, Jim Chory, Thomas Brady, Max Hurwitz, Vince Gerardis, Anne Hillerman and the late Robert Redford. AMC Studios produces.
