Apple TV has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original drama series Star City, which expands the world of For All Mankind.
The eight-episode first season will launch on Friday, May 29 with its first two episodes. New episodes will then be released weekly every Friday through the season finale on July 10.
The propulsive paranoid thriller takes the viewer back to the key moment in the alt-history retelling of the space race - when the Soviet Union became the first nation to put a man on the moon. But this time, we explore the story from behind the Iron Curtain, showing the lives of the cosmonauts, the engineers and the intelligence officers embedded among them in the Soviet space program, and the risks they all took to propel humankind forward.
The drama stars Rhys Ifans, Anna Maxwell Martin, Agnes O'Casey, Alice Englert, Solly McLeod, Adam Nagaitis, Ruby Ashbourne Serkis, Josef Davies and Priya Kansara.
Ben Nedivi, Matt Wolpert and Ronald D. Moore created the drama. They executive produce with Maril Davis, Andrew Chambliss and Steve Oster. Sony Pictures Television and Tall Ship Productions produce.
