Netflix has today given a series order to the original limited series The Lord's Day starring Damson Idris (Snowfall, F1). Production on the six-episode season will begin shortly in the United Kingdom.
On the State Opening of Parliament, British spy Harry Jones (Idris) finds himself inside the iconic building amidst a lockdown. As the siege escalates, loyalties are tested and selfless sacrifices are made, leading to a desperate fight for survival where not everyone will emerge alive. Can Harry use his skills and training to be the country's savior?
Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley developed the series based on the novel by Michael Dobbs. They will executive produce with Idris, Jane Tranter, Dan McCulloch and director Ben Chanan. Bad Wolf will produce.
