From June 11 to 22, 2026, voting is taking place for The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards. As such, it's fun to look at which actors and shows have the best chances of actually being nominated this year. So, these are my predictions for which programs will be nominated for Limited or Anthology Series.
Programs most likely to be nominated:
- Netflix's Beef
- FX's Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette
- HBO's Half Man
- Netflix's The Beast in Me
- Peacock's All Her Fault
Serious threats that could break through:
- HBO's DTF St. Louis
- Netflix's Lord of the Flies
- Netflix's Monster: The Ed Gein Story
- Netflix's Death by Lightning
- Netflix's Black Rabbit
- Prime Video's The Girlfriend
Some considerable long-shots:
- Netflix's His & Hers
- Apple TV's Imperfect Women
- Hulu's Murdaugh: Death in the Family
- Prime Video's Bait
- Peacock's Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy
- Netflix's Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen
- Mubi's Hal & Harper
Colorful oddities that still have an outside chance:
- Netflix's Wayward
- Netflix's Vladimir
- Hulu's The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox
- Hulu's Washington Black
- Apple TV's Chief of War
- Prime Video's 56 Days
